<p>A method and apparatus for determining whether a vehicle is configured with the correct versions of software that controls the various operational systems aboard the vehicle. The version numbers for software on board the vehicle are periodically determined by an on board monitoring system. This information is later transmitted to a remote site, where the actual software version numbers are compared to the correct software versions. If there is a mismatch, personnel at the remote site are alerted to resolve the mismatch.</p> |
