<p>The invention relates to a method for determining the active content of parathormones in a sample, whereby the proportion of parathormone polypeptide chains which are oxidised with amino acids 15 22 on one or more points next to the PTH-receptor binding structure is specifically subtracted from the determined content. Oxidation of the parathormones occurs particularly in dialysis patients whose blood plasma is exposed to oxidation stress during dialysis. The invention is based on the use of antibodies, which specifically bind conformation epitopes of oxidised or reduced parathormone and the fragments thereof. The invention also relates to a test system for quantitatively determining parathormones and active fragments thereof in a sample.</p> |
