A packaging material capable of displaying commodities such as cloths attractively as viewed from both front and rear sides thereof in such a state that the head part thereof is covered completely, comprising a single sheet having sheet bodies (1a) and (1b) at the front and rear sides thereof through a band part (2), wherein extension pieces (3a) and (3b) are provided at the right and left sides of the front sheet body (1a) through a bent part (4), locking means (5a) and (5b) are provided at the right and left end parts of the extension pieces (3a) and (3b) to lock the extension pieces to each other in the overlapped state, extension pieces (7a) and (7b) are provided at the right and left sides of the rear sheet body (1b) through a bent part (6) having a width smaller than that of the band part (2), locking means (8a) and (8b) are provided at the right and left end parts of the extension pieces (7a) and (7b) to lock the extension pieces to each other in the overlapped state, and a slit (9) allowing the extension pieces (3a) and (3b) to be locked to each other is provided between the rear sheet body (1b) and the bent part (6).
