<p>A geophone (100) including conductive terminals positioned on opposite sides of the geophone housing. The geophone includes a pair of coils (124,126) resiliently mounted within the geophone housing (102) and a magnet (119). A first end plate (104), a first spring (132), and a first coil support (120) provide a first end of the electrically conductive path. A second end plate (106), a second spring (134), and a second coil support (122) provide a second end of the electrically conductive path. The first and second end of the electrically conductive path are electrically insulated from each and the geophone housing.
