A central processing unit controls a jogger motor to move the jogger fences to one of three positions according to the width of the sheets being stacked. First position (L1), remote from the stack edge and second position (L2), that slightly overlaps the edge of the stack are used during delivery and stacking of the sheets, and the third position (L3), substantially in contact with the edge of the stack of sheets is used during operations such as stapling the sheet stack.
