Speed-change control apparatus for automatic transmission

The speed change control for a motor vehicle automatic transmission has a first speed change operation from a first speed change stage to a second speed change range. The first speed change stage is established through engagement of the first brake (B1) and a second brake (C2). A second speed change range is established through engagement of the two clutches (C1,C3). A speed change control controls a state prior to the start of release of the second engagement brake in accordance with a predetermined target rotational speed.
