The POS system includes a master POS terminal (101), including host controller (110) for executing POS application programs and master printer (111) that includes a master wireless communication unit (211), and slave POS terminal (102), including slave printer (121) that includes a slave wireless communication unit (221). Data can be transferred between master and slave terminals using the wireless communication units in their associated printers : INDEPENDENT CLAIMs are also included for the following: (a) A printer for use as master printer in a POS system; ( An interface board for use as master or slave interface board in a POS system.
