A carrier (2) can be connected to a vehicle-mounted lifting device. A root cutter (3) is formed by an upper piece (14) which is rotatable relative to the carrier and a cylinder (15) protruding downwards from this piece, the free bottom edge (17) of the cylinder being designed to cut the roots (4) connected to the tree trunk (5). A rotary drive mechanism (9) is provided for the cutter. An ejector (19) is used to remove the tree trunk core left inside the cylinder. |
