The method includes supplying goods [13], the volume of which is to be measured, to a goods receiving arrangement. The goods receiving arrangement and a casing assembly [11] provided with an opening [12] are brought to move with respect to each other so that the goods receiving arrangement with the goods move into the casing assembly through the opening. The casing assembly and a sealing element are moved with respect to each other so as to delimit a closed gas tight compartment around the goods receiving arrangement. The volume and pressure of the gas in the closed compartment are varied and the quantities varied are measured, the volume of goods then being calculated. |
