<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent for separating gas which has a higher diffusion velocity of easy adsorption components than a conventional adsorbent and can demonstrate expected performance sufficiently in the separation of gas by a pressure swing adsorption(PSA) method. SOLUTION: In the separation of gas by a PSA method, in an adsorbent for separating gas comprising crystalline low-silica faujasite type zeolite in which the mole ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 is 1.9-2.1 and a binder is contained, the average pore diameter of the macro pores of the adsorbent is at least the average free stroke of easy adsorption components when the components adsorbed on the adsorbent are adsorbed/desorbed, the volume of pores having diameters of at least the average free stroke of the components occupies at least 70% of the volume of the total macro pores, preferably the volume of the total macro pores is at least 0.25 cc/g, the area of pore surfaces is at least 20 m2/g.</p> |
