<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain limits of error for an optical output stable over a wide wavelength range, while holding an optical output level of a variable wavelength light source apparatus. SOLUTION: The variable wavelength light source apparatus sends an output light, having an arbitrary wavelength selected by a variable wavelength light source 1. The light source apparatus comprises a light variable attenuation means 2 provided at the output side of the variable light source, and a control circuit 4 for controlling the attenuation amount of the light variable attenuation means, in response to the optical output which is partly branched from the output light.</p> |
