PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize various processing corresponding to key input by using the information of a key input speed as a control signal. SOLUTION: A key input time difference is acquired from a key input performed by a user, and a key input speed is acquired from the key input time difference. The key input speed thus obtained is used as various processing control signals corresponding to the key input. For example, when a conversion key is operated after a series of key inputs, Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion processing is performed (steps s11 to s15). In this Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion processing, any erroneous input is checked by language processing (a step s16), and when any part whose linguistic probability is low is present, whether the key input speed of that part is slower than a normal key input speed (a step s17), and when slower, the processing giving priority to the key input by the user is executed without applying any correction (a step s21), and when the input speed is normal, the Japanese syllabary/ Chinese character conversion is performed to the part whose linguistic probability is low by automatically applying correction according to judgment at the processor side. |
