PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch and an operating method that decide connection of an optical network and its topology without manual operations. SOLUTION: An optical node (220) includes a light switch (222) provided with ports to decide a transmission path of an optical signal, a light source (226), a light detector (228), and a control circuit (224) connected to the light switch (222). The control circuit (224) allows the light source (226) to send a 1st node identification code and updates a path router (240) by using access information obtained by the result of detection by the light detector (228). |
