PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a check and a payment of the price of goods in Japanese yen at a store which uses U.S. dollar, with exchange risk avoided and allow the store to collect the money in U.S. dollar more speedy than receiving payment. SOLUTION: This settlement method comprises a step to transmit the price information on goods to the portable telephone 60 of a user 10 from the POS terminal 21 of the store 20, a step to calculate the price data in Japanese yen, a step of outputting prices to the portable telephone in Japanese yen, a step transmit settlement demanding information and price information to the settlement support system 51 of a communication undertaker from the portable telephone, a step to settle account in U.S. dollar with the payment to the store from the communication undertaker in the settlement support system, a step to transmit settlement notice information to the portable telephone from the settlement support system, and a step to settle account in Japanese yen with payment from a user to the communication undertaker after completing the settlement between the store and the communication undertaker. |
