PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output device having a speedy fault diagnosis function by making it possible to grasp user's unexpected usage state or the like in a market if the occurrence of defect, in a once marketed device, is reported from the user. SOLUTION: A system part 10 of the device is mounted on a substrate comprised of an OS and various device drivers. On the OS, an interface part 11 for an external system is constructed, and the communication with the external system 12 is realized through the interface part 11. In the external system 12, a similar interface part 13 is constructed, and data exchange or the like is realized through it. The external system 12, in a development stage, for instance, starts a test program externally or runs a remote check on an application. |
