PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loading drive mechanism that can smoothly manually move a disk tray and can simply be mounted with less number of components and to provide a disk device provided with the loading drive mechanism. SOLUTION: The disk device 1 provided with a chassis 31, a reproduction means that reproduces information recorded on a disk, and a disk tray 51 that contains the disk and is moved between a disk reproduction position and a disk loading/ejecting position, is provided with a rack gear 540 at least part of which is linearly extended in a length direction of the disk tray 51 and which is provided to the disk tray 51 as a loading drive mechanism 57 to drive the disk tray 51, with a guide groove 550 placed side by side to the rack gear 540, with a 2nd gear 640 acting like a drive gear meshing with the rack gear 540, and with a 2nd rotary shaft 315 acting like a drive gear rotary shaft with the 2nd gear 640 fitted thereto for its turning. The 2nd rotary shaft 315 is engaged with the guide groove 550 of the disk tray 51.
