PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect a page irrelevant to the number of sheets in a page detector provided with a plurality of sheet support members filing and supporting multiple pages of sheets so as to be turnable of pages. SOLUTION: This page detector is so formed that a page turning sensor composed of two pairs of transmitting optical sensors is provided in a filing metal fitting 17 and their optical paths A-A' and B-B' are crossed to each other so that this detector can detect all the cases where the paper sheet 3 is turned from the left to the right, turned from the right to the left, turned from the left to the right and then returned, and turned from the left to the right and returned. This detector detects the page right before completion of the turning so that if many paper sheets 3 are filed, it can precisely detect the page irrelevant thereto. This device can rightly detect the page, if the multiple paper sheets 3 are tuned simultaneously. |
