PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital/analog converter that outputs analog image data together with password to a monitor by an entirely simplified control. SOLUTION: The digital/analog converter is configured such that a comparator 12- 1 compares the password attached to video data with the password stored in a password register 11 storing the password, and a digital/analog converter circuit 12- 4 applies digital/analog conversion to video data by one line in succession to the password via a timing generating circuit 12- 2 and a multiplexer 12- 3 when both the passwords are coincident with each other.
