The fixing device comprises an insert (13) which is forced into an opening (5) in the support (2) and a locking rod (14). The insert has a head (15) with a hole (16) through which the rod passes and two branches (19,20) each having an intermediate portion (22) extended by a free end portion (23). The rod is able to separate the branches and the intermediate portion has a zone of least resistance (32) able to localize, under the action of the rod, the deformation of the branch on the opening interior edge (11).
