PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type organic electroluminescence unit which is easy to manufacture. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescence unit is composed of an organic material layer, formed on a surface of an electrode panel, a dielectric layer formed in the vicinity of the organic material layer of the surface of the electrode panel, a metal electrode continuously formed on a surface of the organic material layer and the dielectric layer, and forming a part corresponding to the organic material layer as a control electrode, and an organic electroluminescence element formed on the organic material layer.
