PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuner that efficiently utilizes a harmonic component of a crystal oscillator, which is used for a reference oscillator of a PLL for a local oscillation signal used to generate a 1st intermediate frequency signal, for a local oscillation signal for a 2nd intermediate frequency and that stabilizes mixing processing to generate the 2nd intermediate frequency signal. SOLUTION: A band pass filter 6 filters a signal from a crystal oscillator 5, an amplifier 7 amplifies the filtered signal, an attenuator 8 attenuates an output of the amplifier 7 and provides its output to a 2nd mixer 2. The 2nd mixer 2 mixes the 1st intermediate frequency signal fed from a 1st mixer 1 with the signal from the attenuator 8 so as to down-convert the 1st intermediate frequency signal into the 2nd intermediate frequency signal.
