PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a shielding shell, capable of stabilizing the shape of the shield shell and manufacturing the shield shell at a low cost. SOLUTION: In this method, a border part 46S, between a projecting piece 46 and a recess 47, is pressed by a cylindrical projecting part 51 of a metal mold, and therefore a metal plate 41 extended with pressure from the projecting part 51 is pushed against a hollow part 51A of the projecting part 51; and the connection between the projecting piece 46 and the recess 47 is strengthened by the hollow part 51A. As a result, the shape of the shield shell can be more stabilized than in a traditional method. Furthermore, as the connecting work of the metal plate 41 can be carried out in the same press process as the press process for bending the metal plate 41, the shielding shell 40 can be manufactured at a cost lower than by that in the conventional methods which require spotting process.
