PURPOSE: A device for locking and releasing a cartridge of an attachable cartridge drive is provided to secure the inner space of a main body as an installation space for the other device and maintain a solid locking state. CONSTITUTION: A device for locking and releasing a cartridge of an attachable cartridge drive includes a pushing bar(110) movably installed in a main body of the cartridge(300) and having a button part(111) installed at one end with being protruded to be pushed outside the main body; a rotating switch(120) rotatively installed in the main body and rotating by pressing one side(121) by the other end of the pushing bar; an elastic member(130) providing an elastic force to the rotating switch in a direction opposite to the rotation direction of the pressure of the pushing bar; a flexible blocking member(140) having one end(141) fixed at the main body, the other end interfered with the other side of the rotating switch to be elastically transformable, a locking protrusion(142) elastically lodging on a locking groove formed at the cartridge, so that the locking protrusion gets to lodge on the locking groove if the cartridge is inserted, and the locking protrusion gets to come out of the locking groove by pressing the other end of the flexible blocking member by the other side of the rotating switch pushed by the button part and thereby rotating.
