PURPOSE: A device for monitoring/controlling a GPS clock in a mobile communication base station is provided to detect an error of the GPS clock in a channel card, thereby previously preventing error data generated from a base station modem from being delivered. The device is provided to recognize the error of the GPS clock in a CPU and a base station control processor of the channel card, thereby stably operating a system. CONSTITUTION: A clock receiver(100) receives a GPS clock signal, and transmits the GPS clock signal to a base station modem(500). A clock error detector(200) detects whether a GPS clock supplied to the base station modem(500) is normal, and transmits a result signal to a peripheral device controller(400), then transmits the signal to a CPU(300). The CPU(300) analyzes the result signal, and reports an error of the GPS clock to a base station control processor. The base station modem(500) performs a data communication function with the GPS clock supplied from the clock receiver(100) under control of the CPU(300) and the peripheral device controller(400).
