<p>A medical guide wire which comprises a core having a front end side inner core portion and a main body side inner core portion, and a coating layer comprising a polymer material which covers the whole of the core, wherein at least the front end side inner core portion of the core comprises a nickel-titanium base alloy exhibiting high elasticity over a wide strain range. The main body side inner core portion is preferably composed of a nickel-titanium base alloy wire exhibiting high elasticity over a wide strain range, which is the same as that of the front end side inner core portion and is combined into one piece with the inner core portion, or of a stainless steel wire joined to the front end side inner core portion.</p> |
