<p>A digital broadcast receiving device such that the predetermined period of download transmission can be set most suitably. The digital broadcast receiving device (30) receives and decodes a digital broadcast wave thereby to download software and/or data. When a download program or the like is acquired, the information representing the acquisition is stored in a nonvolatile memory (14A). A site (e.g., a facility of a manufacturer) the telephone number of which is stored in advance is connected by dial-up through a modem (22) thereby to transmit the information representing whether or not the download program has been acquired.</p> |
