PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool preventing an accident by keeping the safety of an cover opened when mainly cleaning a general household septic tank for the cover supporting device of the manhole such as a septic tank or the like. SOLUTION: The tool is so constituted that a mounting port (2) of the cover (B) and a mounting port (3) to a manhole edge (M1 ) are respectively formed in the opposite direction by holding a predetermined distance (L) between up and down of a fixture body (1), an adjusting device (4) for adjusting the height (C) of the mounting port is provided to an upper jaw section (21 ) of the upper mounting port for the fixture body and, at the same time, that a cam mechanism (5) for ensuring cover clamping force inside of the mounting port is provided to a lower jaw section (22 ).
