MASS MEASURING METHOD BY X-RAY AND X-RAY MASS MEASURING INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate simplify mass measuring of a measured object by calculating the mass of the measured object according to a prescribed formula based on the dosage of X-rays transmitting through the measured object. SOLUTION: The measured object W put between an X-ray generation part 3 and an X-ray detection part 4 is exposed to X-rays emitted from the generation part 3. Transmitted X-rays transmitting through the exposed object W are detected by the detection part 4. The mass of the object W is calculated for each unit transmission area according to the prescribed formula based on the detected dosage I of the transmitting X-rays. The unit mass of the object W calculated for each unit transmission area is integrated over all the transmission areas of transmitting X-rays to calculate the whole mass of the object W.
