PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion resisting ring of good adhesion to a piston main unit for high top ring piston having a high effect for reduction of unburned hydrocarbon in an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A piston 1 with abrasion resisting ring is constituted of the abrasion resisting ring 20 and a piston main unit 10. The abrasion resisting ring 20 provided in a piston top part is composed of porous sintered alloy, and by making a light alloy material of the piston main unit 10 advance in a hole of this abrasion resisting ring 20 by a die cast or molten metal forging work method, this abrasion resisting ring 20 and the piston main unit 10 are integrally formed, so that strong binding force can be obtained.
