PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential structure which enhances breather perfor mance and lubrication property of a differential mechanism using a simple structure. SOLUTION: A final speed reduction mechanism constituted by a drive pinion 4a and a ring gear 45 and a differential mechanism 40 are provided in a housing, comprising a differential carrier 21 and a carrier cover 22. A breather port 25 is formed on an upper part of the differential carrier 21 and a wall surface part 23 is formed, so as to surround a neighborhood of a lower part of the breather port 25. A lubrication plate 31 covers the end surface of the wall surface part 23 to form a breather chamber 24 and is arranged, such that a front end part extends to the upper part of the drive pinion 4a. A lubricant scraped up by a ring gear 45 is dropped off on the drive pinion 4a. |
