PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant for weaving without twisting and sizing by a water jet loom, suitable for the weaving without sizing by the water jet loom. SOLUTION: This lubricant for the weaving without twisting and sizing by the water jet loom contains (A) a polyether having 2,000-10,000 average molecular weight, (B) a metal salt of an alkyl phosphate having a 12-18C alkyl group, (C) waxes, (D) a modified silicone and (E) a compound having a carboxy group and represented by the formula: R-COOH, as essential components, formulated so that the total of the components A, B, C, D and E may be 15-50 wt.% based on the whole components of the lubricant.
