MULTI-COMPARTMENT REFRIGERATOR AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A multi-compartment refrigerator and control method of the same are provided to stabilize a cycle and to reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator includes a plurality of storage compartments(1,2); a plurality of evaporators(6a,6b) installed to cool down the storage compartments, respectively; a compressor(3) supplying refrigerant to the evaporators through a branching refrigerant pipe; opening and closing valves(10a,10b) installed on inlet side passages of the evaporators to selectively control supply of refrigerant to the evaporators; a reference compartment setting device setting one of the storage compartments as a reference compartment for controlling operation of the compressor; and a control device, a microcomputer(11), controlling starting of the compressor according to fluctuation of temperature in the reference compartment fixed by the reference compartment setting device.
