PURPOSE: A method and a device for automatically recycling paper tubes are provided to recycle paper tubes at a low expense by shortening a recycling process and minimizing facilities. CONSTITUTION: A paper tube(A) is transferred in the vertical state by a conveyor. The paper tube is transferred to the upper portion of a mounting unit(5) by using a shock absorbing cylinder(15) having a transfer block(13). The mounting unit is vertically lifted by using a cylinder(56) to perform pipe expansion. Thereafter, the mounting unit is lifted down. Then, the paper tube is automatically released from a tube expander by the weight of the paper tube. Therefore, the paper tube is discharged automatically without a discharge unit.
