PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic suspension device which can prevent a leak of magnetic flux without increasing the size and the weight of the device. SOLUTION: A spring receiving part 20 made of a magnetic substance is held to a guide pipe 6 to hold an inner yoke 3, and a spring receiving part tube part 23 of the spring receiving part 20 is arranged to the outside so as to constitute a magnetic circuit together with an outer yoke 2. Since both of the outer yoke 2 and the spring receiving part tube part 23 form the magnetic circuit, a sectional area of the magnetic circuit of the outside part of a coil 4 becomes larger compared with the case that only the outer yoke 2 exists without the spring receiving part tube part 23 at the outside of the coil 4, and the leak of the magnetic flux from the device can be reduced to the required minimum by easily passing through the magnetic flux. Furthermore, since the leak of the magnetic flux from the device is reduced to the required minimum, magnetic energy of a permanent magnet 5 can be sufficiently and properly used, as a result, the size of the permanent magnet 5 and the size and the weight of the device as well can be reduced.
