<p>Graphite articles for metallurgy or semi-conductors are prepd. by mixing at >=fusion temp of the tar non-calcined petroleum coke contg. is not >8 pref. 2.5-4.5 wt % volatiles with molten coal-tar, and then stirring, cooling to ambient temp. grinding, moulding at 400-1000 kg/cm2, heat treating at 1200-1300 degrees C, and graphitising at 2400-3000 degrees C.</p> |
