PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a technology is required for calculating accurately the residual quantity of liquid such as a propellant or the like included in a tank in the outer space in the weightlessness state. SOLUTION: This device for measuring the quantity of the liquid included in a closed vessel in the weightlessness state is equipped with an ultrasonic wave transmission means for transmitting an ultrasonic wave toward the closed vessel, an ultrasonic wave reception means for receiving the ultrasonic wave reflected by an interface between the gas and the liquid included in the closed vessel. and a liquid quantity calculation means for calculating the liquid quantity based on the time from transmission of the ultrasonic wave until reception of a reflected wave generated by reflection of the transmitted ultrasonic wave on the gas-liquid interface.
