SUPPORTING DEVICE FOR OSCILLATORY WAVE MOTOR

PURPOSE:To provide an oscillatory wave motor supporting device which can support the motor without increasing the size of an oscillating body (stator) against a stationary member while making the oscillating body simple-structured against the stationary member and without disturbing the oscillation of the oscillating body. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted of a first supporting member 2 to be united to an oscillating body 1 and a second supporting member 3 to be secured to a fixed part 4. The first or second supporting member 2 should be of such a length that it may follow the tortion displacement of the oscillating body 1 and the second supporting member 3 should be of such a length that it may follow the amplitude displacement of the oscillating body 1. The first supporting member 2 is installed in the direction to cross at right angles with the progression direction of a progressive wave and the second supporting member 3 is installed along the progression direction of the progressive wave. Consequently, the supporting members 2, 3 can be made short and thereby an oscillatory wave motor can be made small and oscillation is not subject to the influence of the supporting members.
