PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clipping apparatus designed so as to readily carry out two operations having different clipping modes, e.g. pruning operation and leaf-cutting operation by changing over clipping forward direction. SOLUTION: This clipping apparatus is equipped with a clipping blade 6 on the upper side in which cutting blades 6L and 6R extending in a projecting form on both the left and the right sides are respectively formed at an interval kept therebetween in a comb shape in the longitudinal direction, a clipping blade 1 on the lower side in which cutting blades 7L and 7R extending in a projecting form on both the left and the right sides are respectively formed at an interval kept therebetween in a comb shape and a driving means for driving the upper and lower clipping blades 6 and 7 so as to relatively reciprocate in the longitudinal direction. The shape of the cutting blade 7L on the first side of the clipping blade 7 on the lower side is composed in a shape different from that of the cutting blade 7R on the second side.
