PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposal apparatus capable of switching a continuous operation and a batch operation and protected from foreign substances. SOLUTION: When switching to a continuous operation mode is carried out by a cover switch 34 and an operation button 31 is pushed, a flip/flop 232 is set and the duration to the time of garbage load is measured by a timer 235 for loading preparation and a motor 2 is driven to operate a timer 236 for continuous operation to carry out continuous pulverization treatment. When switching to batch way treatment mode is carried out by the cover switch 34 and a sink flange cap 13 is set in a sink flange support ring 11 after a necessary treatment amount of garbage is thrown, a cap switch 15 is closed and when the operation button 31 is pushed, the motor 2 is driven to carry out batch pulverization treatment of garbage and in the case foreign substances are mixed and intermesh a pulverization mechanism 3, an automatic protection circuit 238 stops the motor 2 based on the detection output of the load sensor 237. |
