PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine having less entanglement and excellent replacement of a wash and/or less damage of cloth at a spin-drying process. SOLUTION: At washing and residually rinsing, a water level is set so that a level of the wash is above the water level by 30-70% in a standard volume of a wash. Rotation and stoppage of a washing-spin-drying tub 3 are repeated. A pulsator 4 is synchronously rotated with the washing-spin-drying tub 3 at rotation of the washing-spin-drying tub 3 and only the pulsator 4 is rotated at stoppage of rotation of the washing-spin-drying tub 3. At washing, washing water is jetted from a port 28a of a circulating mechanism 12 into the washing- spin-drying tub 3. A hot air feeding means 7 is provided for feeding hot air into the washing-spin-drying tub 3 to dry clothes. During the drying, the washing- spin-drying tub 3 is allowed to rotate and the hot air is fed into the washing- spin-drying tub 3 from the hot air feeding means 7 and a drain valve 21 is repeatedly opened and closed.
