PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance working efficiency by reducing the butting work time in a bending machine. SOLUTION: The work positioning device is provided with a butting body 5 constituting a back gage for positioning the work W at the predetermined position, wherein the tip end of the butting body 5 is formed into a step shape to provide an upper butting face 5A and a lower butting face 5B, and a work pressing member 6 for pressing the work W is swingably mounted.
