PURPOSE: A passenger protection apparatus is provided to protect a passenger by raising a front side of a vehicle body when the vehicle collides with a large vehicle, and preventing the vehicle body from pushing into a vehicle room. CONSTITUTION: A passenger protection apparatus comprises a bumper cover installed at a side frame through a bumper beam, a suspension spring for absorbing a vibration of the vehicle body by coupling both ends thereof onto the vehicle body and a wheel driving shaft, and a front vehicle body raising device(100). The suspension spring absorbs an up/down vibration by interposing onto the vehicle body and the driving shaft through an upper and lower supporting plates(1,2). The front vehicle raising device for raising the body of the bumper cover side by pressing the suspension spring is provided on the bumper cover and the suspension spring. The front vehicle body raising device is composed of a rotating lever(110) and a connecting lever(120).
