PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for manufacturing solid fuel by adding a combustion improver to the sorted and formed combustible waste after sorting and forming combustible waste are provided. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing solid fuel using combustible waste comprises a feeder(2) for feeding combustible waste into a unit formed at a certain elevation; a sorting conveyor(4) for sorting the injected combustible waste; a recovery conveyor(5) for recovering the sorted recycling combustible waste; metal detectors(6) for detecting metal; an electromagnet(7) for removing metal; an injection hopper(8) for transferring the sorted combustible waste to the first crusher(9); a first crusher(9) for crushing the injected combustible waste; a blower for supplying the crushed combustible waste chips into the storage tank(11) through a pipe; a storage tank(11) for storing the combustible waste chips transferred by the blower; a valve(12) formed at the lower part of the storage tank(11); a screw conveyor(13) for transferring the stored combustible waste chips to the first forming machine(15); a first forming machine(15) for extruding the combustible waste chips transferred by the screw conveyor(13) at a rotational extrusion molding speed of 16 to 150 rpm; a second crusher(10) for crushing the formed combustible waste again; a screw conveyor(19) for transferring the recrushed combustible waste chips; a subsidiary storage tank(20) for storing the combustible waste chips transferred by the screw conveyor(19); a chemical storage tank for supplying a combustion improver; a second forming machine(22) for forming the stored combustible waste chips; a combustor for supplying heat to the second forming machine(22), the storage tank(11), and the first forming machine(15); a cutter(26) for cutting the formed solid fuel to a certain length; a conveyor(31) for transferring the formed and cut solid fuel; and a packing machine(33) for packing the cooled solid fuel.
