PURPOSE: A system for transmitting data using a radio access communication device and a method for controlling the same are provided to connect sensors to a radio access communication device so as to display peripheral circumstances on the screen, without adding a special device, and to transmit information for a specific event, when it is generated, to a management center or an appointed radio access unit. CONSTITUTION: A system for transmitting data using a radio access communication device consists of a plurality of sensors(10), an external interface unit(20), a mobile phone(30), a wireless base station(40), and a management center(50). The sensors(10) detect external states in real time. The external interface unit(20) outputs the data based on the signals detected from the sensors(10). The mobile phone(30) sends short messages to another radio access communication device. If data are inputted from the external interface unit(20), the mobile phone(30) displays the data on the LCD or transmits the data to the associated management center(50) or an appointed mobile phone(60). The wireless base station(40) receives radio data from the mobile phone(30) and transmits the data to the associated management center(50). The management center(50) executes management, based on the radio data transmitted from the wireless base station(40).
