PURPOSE: A schedule management method in a mobile terminal is provided to add an SMS(Short Message Service) automatic transmission function to the schedule management function of a mobile terminal so that a short message can be automatically transmitted at a scheduled date. CONSTITUTION: A user selects a specific date at a schedule management mode among the menus of his mobile terminal(S1). The user selects an SMS transmission reservation for the selected date(S2). The user inputs a calling number for SMS transmission(S3). Then the user selects whether he/she will use a stored message or make out a new message(S4). In case that the user wants to use a stored message, the mobile terminal provides a list of stored messages(S5). If the user wants to make out a new message, the mobile terminal provides an edit screen for message editing(S6). If a message to send is selected or made out, the mobile terminal stores and manages the message so that it can be automatically sent on the selected date(S7). If the selected date comes, the mobile terminal automatically transmits the stored message(S8).
