PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information system by which a person can quickly recognize a position of a portable terminal when the person makes a speech with the portable terminal. SOLUTION: A position information center of this invention making communication with the portable terminal via a base station transceiving a radio wave receives speech desired information, base station identification information and electric field strength information and calculates the position of the portable terminal on the basis of the base station identification information and the electric field strength information on one hand, and makes a speech with the portable terminal on the basis of the speech desired information on the other hand.
