PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correction and changing system which can easily execute correction operation for an erroneous input character string due to pressing wrong character key. SOLUTION: The correction and changing system 1 for an erroneous input character string is constituted of an input device 2, a process data preparation device 3, and an output device 4. The process data preparation device 3 is provided with an input processing part 5 decoding a character code and a function code inputted from the input device 2, a character string processing part 6 processing the character string from the character code and the function code, an operation information storage part 7 storing an inputted, a corrected information storage part 8 storing correction information for registration of a character key before and after the correction, the number of times of cancel operations, and the number of times of success operation, a control part 9 executing the correction processing of the inputted character string referring the stored operation procedure and the correction information, and a display processing part 10 display processing the character string in the processing process.
