SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with an input unit which inputs a document image, a pattern generator which generates a pattern consisting of a plurality of mark dots for representing information, and an image superimposing unit which overlays the mark dots generated by the pattern generator on the document image inputted by the input unit to form the output image. The image superimposing unit superimposes the mark dots on the dots of the document image in the position where the dot color of the document image is different from the mark dot color.
