PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic appliance capable of color display in which key colors and background color can be selected from a plurality of proper color schemes, to provide a sewing machine capable of color display similar to the above appliance, and to provide a program for pattern display to realize the similar functions to the above appliance. SOLUTION: A plurality of groups of color scheme patterns to make the key colors correspond to the background color are memorized for the command key display region 42 and the set-up key display region 43 in the operational screen of the display so that the command key display region 42 and the set-up key display region 43 are displayed by the color scheme pattern selected from the above color scheme patterns. The background color in the pattern display region 40 is also set in the color scheme patterns and is selected and set from the color scheme patterns.
