The contactless sensor has a holding part (2), electronics (6) and a beaker-like element (4) in which the electronics are accommodated. The electronics are embedded in a setting material (5) in the beaker-like element and the beaker-like element is attached to the holding part. The beaker-like element is made of a material resistant to certain media, especially oil. An Independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a sensor.
